Craig Guarnieri, Chief Technology Officer
Craig Guarnieri brings to TechDiscovery more than 25 years of technical and senior management experience. Previously CIO of Warranty Corporation of America (WaCA), a diversified specialty risk management company, Craig integrated all IT operations for the company's various worldwide business units. Using Microsoft .NET platform to build an enterprise framework, his initiatives ultimately unified the IT organization and resulted in a significant reduction in redundancy and cost across the company's business units. Prior to WaCA, Craig was Vice President and CTO of GMAC Insurance, a U.S. provider of P&C insurance. At GMAC, Craig established and staffed a progressive technology team that created, developed and implemented a three-year technology and business plan resulting in a profitable online insurance business. His contribution earned him #1 contributor status for new business, as profiled in GMAC's Annual Report.
Craig was also an Executive Director of Customer Systems for Delta Airlines, where he managed all aspects of strategic planning, vendor management and execution for Delta Airlines Customer systems, as well a Pricing and Revenue Management system, where his efforts culminated in the division's receipt of the 2000 Smithsonian Award for Technology Excellence. Craig began his career with HBO/McKesson in a diversified IT services team, where he was an architect and systems analyst. At McKesson, Craig advanced to the role of Director of the Technology Group, where he led and managed consultants throughout North America.
Sean Carithers, Director of Business Development
Sean Carithers brings 10 years of experience successfully growing and managing small technology product and services companies. Over the last two years Sean has helped to drive TechDiscovery's revenue growth by re-focusing the company's efforts on bringing consulting and professional services expertise to Fortune 500 companies. Prior to working with TechDiscovery, Sean served as Vice President of Sales for Xperts, Inc., a boutique professional services, software product and staffing firm. Sean managed the national sales efforts and the software product division growing annual revenue to $12 million. Sean began his IT career working for Trader Publishing Company, a $1 billion privately held company, where he helped grow AutoTrader.com and several of the company's other business divisions into multi-million dollar Internet businesses.
Sean is a graduate of Davidson College. He also spent five years as a professional cyclist and has circumnavigated the world by bicycle.
Dennis Crumpler, General Partner
Dennis Crumpler has over 20 years of experience in building and managing successful technology companies. Along with Shereef Nawar, Dennis founded XcelleNet which became the industry leader in systems management for large-scale remote and mobile systems. During his tenure, XcelleNet executed its initial public offering in 1994 and was later acquired by Sterling Commerce in 1998. Prior to XcelleNet, Dennis co-founded Sales Technologies, a successful pioneer in field sales automation software that was acquired by Dun & Bradstreet in 1989. Subsequent to business school and four years of service as a U.S. Army Officer, Dennis began his career as a Consultant with McKinsey & Company in 1982.
Since 1998, Dennis has been General Partner of CIMCO, LLC, an investment management company and early stage venture fund. Dennis has made investments in Green Mountain Energy where he served as Vice Chairman and board member for two years. Additionally, he led investments in Chatham Capital I and II (Atlanta) and Catalysta Ventures (Raleigh) and serves on each company's Advisory Board. Dennis has also been active with Ranger Governance, LLC and its efforts to enhance public company accountability through direct shareholder action. In 1994, Dennis was named Technology Entrepreneur of the Year, an award sponsored nationally by Ernst & Young, Inc. Magazine and Merrill Lynch. In 1992, he was named High-Technology Entrepreneur of the Year by Atlanta Business & Technology Alliance.
Dennis holds a B.S. from MIT, and M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Additionally, he has completed Ph.D. coursework at the University of Edinburgh (UK) as a Rotary International Scholar. Dennis' charitable interests include serving as a trustee of The Southern Environmental Law Center and World T.E.A.M. Sports.
